Batman Slapping Robin

Someone begins a wrong opinion and is interrupted mid-sentence.

Two speech bubbles, and the second must physically interrupt the first. Robin's line should be cut off — literally, mid-word if possible — and Batman's should be short and delivered with total confidence.

The interruption is the format. If Robin finishes his sentence and Batman replies to a complete thought, the slap has nothing to land on.

Batman is not necessarily right. He is simply certain, and holding a hand up, which the format treats as the same thing.

Common mistakes

Letting Robin finish. Trail him off.
A long reply from Batman. He is mid-slap, not mid-lecture.
Text outside the bubbles — they are small and the boxes are shorter than people expect.
