Trade Offer

I receive something trivial, you receive something absurd — or the reverse.

Rigidly structured, which is why it is easy: two boxes, labelled 'I receive' and 'You receive'. All the writing goes into making the exchange lopsided.

Both directions work. Either you ask for something negligible and offer something enormous, or you ask for everything and offer nothing. The second is funnier more often.

Very short lines. The format is a placard held up mid-sentence; anything long stops reading like an offer.

The numbered rectangles are where the text actually belongs on this template, measured against the real image rather than guessed from the panel count. These are the same coordinates the editor uses.

Common mistakes

A fair trade. There is no joke in a reasonable exchange.
Rewriting the 'I receive' / 'You receive' labels — they are the format's scaffolding.
Full sentences where a noun would do.
